Hey guys, this is my first time on a blog so I don't really know what I'm doing : ). Anyhow, this blog is for you to spend some time reflecting on your morning in London. We'll be asking you some questions just to get you started. Feel free to express yourselves about things you've noticed or felt that aren't on the question list, the questions are just a way to help you get started.
so, for example, you could talk about any or all of these:
1. What kind of differences did you recognize between London and say, Taipei?
A)
2. So far, is London the same as you had imagined? In what ways is it different?
A)
3. What new knowledge have you gained?
A)
4. In what ways is visiting London virtually with companions and a tour guide different than reading about it?
A)
5. And I know we're just starting out, but....have you gained any English knowledge today? If so, what sort? (this is one question I will definitely be asking again!!!)
A)
6. Anything else you feel like sharing?
A)
And finally, some photos (if they actually upload). Remember, for next week, learn a little about Westminster Abbey or the Thames and London's bridges to tell us all about! : D
See you then!!!--Molly

Sigh. OK, no photos, I guess.
I think London is more beautiful and picturesque than some modern cities like Taipei or Hongkong. It's nice being able to tour London in a virtual reality world than just reading about it on the internet! Because I can actually see every detail. Today's tour was really good because everyone looked up information and told some stories and history about Westminster, the Thames, and the Bridges of London. One thing that really impressed me was the fact that Westminster Abby is still standing after so many years, and it even survived WW2! Wouldn't it be amazing if we could go inside and see the resting places of all those famous people, and all of the kings from England's past? Speaking of kings and queens, I can't wait to go touring around all of the castles next time!
This is Courtney.
I think it's interesting to have this opportunity to tour around London. I can learn various information relate to different historical buildings such as towers and bridges. And also, I can get to know the history of the Parliament. I think it's pretty cool to practice English this way.
However, the technical problems really bother me...Last time the skype didn't go well, other people couldn't hear me...and for this time, it's really difficult for me to operate in Blue Mars, actually I can hardly move, it lags all the time...
I really hope that I don't have to deal with technical problems next time.
1. London is very different with Taipei because London has lots of traditional buildings.
3. I gained history knowledge about the Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and London bridge etc...
4. It's a special experiences. I think that hearing company or tour guide introducing is fun than read it from website or books. Also, using Blue Mars Lite visiting London is like I'm really there. It helps me to remember, and trigger my motivation to realize things.
5. I did gain the history knowledge about London in English. I read some British history books but all in Chinese. So I did learn!!
6. After today, I finally know that London bridge is not London bridge I thought. London bridge is actually Tower bridge.
1)I feel nice touring London, though I know little of the history nor the direction. It's quite interesting to follow by a guide to visit London. When we walked on the streets, I found out the city is quite clean and seemed to be freindly. It makes me feel indifferent while touring Taipei, for the traffic probably.
2)It's far from what I 've imagined. I used to think of London as rainy, gray with lots of old houses. Only the palace is the glamorous place I would go. But after touring, it kind of changes my thoughts. I'd like to know more and visit more places in London.
3) i know more about London Eye, house of Parliment, and famous bridges on Thame river.
