Commenting on where we've been

Just like we talked about in class today, but here you have a little more time to reflect and think on your own.

Talk about where we’ve been. Where would you like to go back and wander around more? Where would you like to go inside? What surprised you? What do you think you would miss? Is there anything that’s NOT there that surprises you?

Check out the map below while you're at it, and some images from inside Buckingham palace. Also Queen Victoria, both young and old.

For a special homework, go to google maps this week (just the regular kind, like in the picture below), and make sure you know just where the places we've been are!

See you next week in the City of London!--Molly

P.S. Pub food: here are some names you can check out, but be sure to go online for pub menus, cause I'm sure there's more...
steak and kidney pie. spotted dick. toad-in-a-hole. bangers and mash. fish and chips. ale. stout.

Ahhhhh!!! My comment just disappeared! now I need to type the whole thing again! I would like to go back to the parks and have a picnic! It's so beautiful. I would also like to try out fish and chips. It's like the national food of England so it should be pretty good. I don't drink so I don't know what I would do in a pub. Maybe order some juice, ha-ha. One place I would like to go into is Westminster Abby because there are so many famous people "resting" there. I have to say I was surprised at the transportation cost. I don't know who anyone can live in London when things are so expensive! I would just have to walk if I lived there.
BTW I just saw a funny news story about England's royal navy. Quite a bit of British humor there. Here's the link (but it;s in Chinese.) http://tw.news.yahoo.com/%E8%8B%B1%E5%9C%8B%E6%95%91%E6%8F%B4%E4%BA%BA%E5%93%A1-%E9%96%8B%E7%9B%B4%E5%8D%87%E6%A9%9F%E5%8E%BB%E8%B2%B7%E9%9B%AA%E7%B3%95-041115964.html

I'd like to go back to Buckingham Palace again for the fountain. I want to go around the fountain and have a cup of coffe in front of the palace. Also, review the history and see if I could meet the Queen. lol

Q1: Talk about where we’ve been.
We've been to many parks and palaces, such as Green Park, St James's Park, and Buckingham palace. I really like the parks we went today, there are many trees, lakes, it is just very beautiful. I think I can just stay there all day, the atmosphere there is so relaxing.

Q2: Where would you like to go back and wander around more?
Green Park. It's really big! I want to know what else things I can find in that park.

Q3: Where would you like to go inside?
Buckingham Palace

Q4: What surprised you?
How beautiful the parks are. The trees and lakes are spectacular.

Q5: What do you think you would miss?
St James's Park

Q6: Is there anything that’s NOT there that surprises you?
There are no vendors in the park.
