London Catastrophes

Over its 2000-year history, London has had its share of disasters. For Next Week:

What can you tell me about the Black Death in London?

And how much do you know about the Great Fire of 1666?

And how about the Blitz of 1940?

Throughout our tours I had already gotten used to London as being beautiful with old fashioned looking buildings. So I wasn't used to down-town London being so modern! I think it's such a pity that a lot of buildings and houses got wiped out during the Blitz. That picture of St. Paul's Cathedral after the Blitz is truly miraculous!
